In a move to reposition Odisha as a pivotal player in India's industrial landscape, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a strategic shift focusing on the east coast. Speaking to industry leaders in Gujarat, Majhi emphasized Odisha's readiness to mirror the development seen on the west coast.
'Odisha,' he stated, 'will leverage its strategic advantages and comprehensive policy support to drive industrial growth, targeting Southeast and East Asia.' The chief minister unveiled a 'two-coast strategy,' advocating for integrated operations across India's seaboards to ensure balanced coastal development.
During the visit, Majhi and his delegation highlighted Odisha's economic potential with significant investment approvals and ongoing projects while touring key facilities at Mundra Port. The state's focus on port-led industrialization was emphasized, backed by a robust infrastructure and industrial ecosystems connecting manufacturing hubs to global markets.
