Kapas prices in futures trade rise marginally on strong bets

Kapas prices rose 0.09 per cent to Rs 1,115.5 per 20 kg in futures trade Thursday as speculators raised bets in tandem with the upbeat sentiment at physical markets.

Widening of positions by traders in tune with positive cues from the spot market led to the rise in kapas futures here, marketmen said. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, kapas for delivery in April rose by Re 1, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 1,115.5 per 20 kg with a business turnover of 13,577 open lots.
