The Delhi government's Transport Department has announced the resumption of online e-rickshaw registrations, following a five-month suspension aimed at overhauling regulatory procedures.
The department has introduced new requirements for registration, including mandatory driver training and a rule allowing only one e-rickshaw per driving license.
These measures, officials say, are designed to enhance last-mile connectivity while preventing unauthorized vehicles from crowding the city's roads. A comprehensive e-rickshaw policy is also in development to further regulate this expanding mode of transport.
