The Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services (APSTS) is set to embark on a digital transformation journey by partnering with RedBus, a part of the larger travel company MakeMyTrip. The agreement, announced on Wednesday, will establish RedBus-MakeMyTrip as the official online ticketing partner for APSTS.
The partnership was formalized in a ceremony attended by Transport Minister Ojing Tasing and Transport Commissioner Saugat Biswas, among other officials. APSTS general manager Mito Dirchi and RedBus director (supply) Rajarshi Bhowmick signed the agreement that promises to revolutionize the way tickets are booked within the state.
The new e-ticketing platform, set to launch next month, will be available on mobile phones, desktops, and at bus booking counters. Initially targeting inter-state routes, the service plans to expand to cover all state routes, offering passengers increased convenience and accessibility, while also aiming to enhance revenue streams for APSTS.
