Amid a nationwide hike in petrol and diesel prices, the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is running its refineries at over 100% capacity to ensure adequate fuel supply at retail outlets. Despite a modest price increase, IOCL Director Arvind Kumar attributed it to mounting global pressures.

Petrol prices rose by Rs 3 per litre across major cities, with similar climbs in diesel costs. Addressing future sustainability, IOCL is also advancing in alternative energy, providing the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation with hydrogen-powered buses to promote zero-emission public transport.

These buses, supported by green hydrogen, represent IOCL's commitment to environmental sustainability and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. Emphasizing the significance of public transport, IOCL encourages a shift towards eco-friendly commuting, especially during current global energy challenges.
