India and Singapore are enhancing their economic partnership with strong trade and investment links. At the India-Singapore Futures Forum, discussions focused on digitalisation, sustainability, healthcare, and economic cooperation. Leaders emphasized shared strengths and cooperation in energy transition, climate change efforts, and expanding innovative sectors like AI and maritime connectivity.
Singapore's Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Gan Siow Huang, underscored the robust economic partnership between Singapore and India, driven by strong bilateral trade and investment, at the 2nd India-Singapore Futures Forum.
Gan emphasized the necessity for collaborative energy transition solutions and noted the significance of platforms like the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable, which fosters discussions to boost bilateral trade and investment. She also highlighted areas for future cooperation, including digitalisation, sustainability, and healthcare.
Indian High Commissioner to Singapore, Dr. Shilpak Ambule, praised the progress under the India-Singapore Roadmap for Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, citing recent Singaporean investments in Indian space startups as a testament to the strong economic ties. The future includes Green and Digital Shipping Corridors, carbon reduction initiatives, and continued bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
