Firefighting on Rails: Swift Response Saves Rajdhani Express
A fire erupted in a coach of the Rajdhani Express traveling through Madhya Pradesh, but thanks to prompt action by railway officials, no casualties occurred. Passengers were safely deboarded and relocated to other coaches. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.

A sudden fire erupted in an AC coach of the Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express early Sunday morning in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district, sources from the railway department disclosed.
Despite the early hour blaze, occurring at around 5.15 am, all 68 passengers escaped unharmed, as revealed by Sourbah Jain, a senior railway commercial manager. The affected B-1 coach was quickly detached, preventing further risk.
Rail officials, including Ratlam division PRO Mukesh Kumar, confirmed emergency protocols were activated. The overhead electric supply was shut off, and the onboard fire was extinguished. Passengers were reassigned to other coaches to continue their journey to Kota, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
