In Guwahati, an empty railway coach derailed on Monday during routine maintenance work at the railway yard, according to officials from the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR).
No injuries or loss of life were reported in the incident, confirmed NFR Chief Public Relations Officer Kapinjal Kishore Sharma.
The derailment occurred during regular upkeep activities, and officials are currently in the process of rerailing the coach. Rail operations remain unaffected.
