Hyderabad Airport Launches Cutting-Edge Cargo Terminal
GHIAL has commissioned Cargo Terminal 2 at Hyderabad International Airport to accommodate increasing cargo demand with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Spanning 16,864 sqm, the facility can initially handle 50,000 tonnes annually, scalable to 100,000. It features a temperature-controlled zone for pharmaceuticals, supporting Hyderabad's role as a global logistics hub.
Hyderabad International Airport has taken a significant step in its expansion as a major air cargo and logistics hub with the launch of Cargo Terminal 2.
This new facility spans 16,864 square meters and is poised to meet the rising demand for both domestic and international cargo, initially managing 50,000 tonnes each year and scalable to 100,000 tonnes. Featuring modern infrastructure, the terminal supports airlines, freight forwarders, and logistics operators with potential for future expansion.
The terminal offers a fully temperature-controlled pharmaceutical zone designed to handle sensitive cargo, showcasing Hyderabad's growing prominence as a pharmaceutical center on the global stage, as confirmed by Kadhir Kadhiravan, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd.
