Tragic Collision on Ganga Expressway: Father and Daughter Killed
A father and daughter lost their lives and five others were injured in a head-on collision involving a Volkswagen Polo and a Mercedes on the Ganga Expressway in Sambhal. The accident occurred when the Polo entered the expressway from the wrong side, leading to a tragic collision with the Mercedes.

A tragic accident on the Ganga Expressway claimed the lives of a father and daughter, while leaving five others injured on Tuesday. The incident involved a head-on collision between a Volkswagen Polo and a Mercedes near Azhra village in Sambhal.
According to Radheshyam Sharma, in-charge of Kaila Devi police station, the Polo allegedly entered the expressway from the wrong direction, crashing into the Mercedes en route from Noida to Lucknow. Among the deceased in the Polo was Arvind Kumar, 55, and his daughter Yamini, 30, both residents of Chandausi.
Following the fatal accident, local police and personnel from the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) promptly responded, transporting the injured to the district hospital. The Ganga Expressway, connecting Prayagraj and Meerut, is the state's longest, passing through 12 districts, including Sambhal.
