Air India Flight Returns to Delhi Due to Technical Issue
An Air India flight to San Francisco returned to New Delhi after a technical issue emerged mid-flight. The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, flying through Chinese airspace, turned back after more than three hours in the air. Passengers were provided with alternate arrangements and assistance.
An Air India flight bound for San Francisco was forced to return to New Delhi mid-journey due to a technical problem. The incident occurred after the Boeing 777-300ER, carrying about 230 passengers, had been in the air for over three hours and was navigating Chinese airspace.
The aircraft returned to the Indian capital following safety protocols. Upon landing, the airline assured that the plane would undergo a technical inspection as part of its safety standards. Passengers were provided with alternative flight arrangements, refreshments, and hotel accommodations as needed.
Although Air India did not detail the specific technical snag, the airline expressed regret for the inconvenience and continued to work on expediting travel plans for affected passengers.
