Tragic Collision Claims Five Lives in Chitradurga

In Chitradurga, five individuals lost their lives in a car accident after their vehicle collided with a stationary lorry. A tyre burst is suspected to have caused the driver to lose control. The victims were travelling to Challakere, and an investigation is ongoing.

In a tragic incident in Chitradurga, Karnataka, a car crash led to the immediate death of five passengers. The accident, which occurred on Friday near Tumkurlahalli Gate in the Molakalmuru taluk, involved a collision with a parked lorry.

Preliminary findings from the police suggest a tyre burst might have caused the driver to lose control, leading the car to hit the rear of the stationary lorry. The unfortunate victims have been identified as Pramod, Raghavendra, Mallikarjun, Soma, and Rudresh, all hailing from Challakere.

The group was en route from Ballari to Challakere at the time of the accident, which has since been registered as a case at the Molakalmuru police station. Authorities have transferred the bodies for post-mortem examinations and are conducting further investigations.
