Mizoram Introduces App to Regulate Taxi Fares

The Mizoram government has launched a new mobile application called 'MizoTaxi' to combat fare overcharging in public transport. This app is introduced to ensure that passengers in taxis and auto-rickshaws pay only government-approved rates.
Set to launch on July 1, the app will initially function in Aizawl and requires all transport operators to register by June, with a concessional annual fee of Rs 600. The initiative aims to verify and enforce correct fare payments through the app, providing a transparent system for commuters.
