Arunachal Pradesh Enhances Public Transport with New Buses
Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services celebrated its 50th anniversary with the launch of three new buses in Tirap. Union Minister Ajay Tamta highlighted the role of transport in regional growth, while state Transport Minister Ojing Tasing announced plans for a new bus terminal.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services (APSTS), three new buses were launched in the Tirap district by Union Minister Ajay Tamta.
These new additions aim to enhance transportation in the region, reflecting the service's beginnings in 1975. Tamta emphasized the importance of robust transport infrastructure for economic growth and development, pledging ongoing support from the Central government through various funding initiatives.
At the event, Arunachal Pradesh Transport Minister Ojing Tasing announced plans to build a modern bus terminal in Khonsa, marking a significant investment in the region's transport infrastructure. This follows a proposal by local MLA Wanglin Lowangdong to upgrade existing structures and expand the fleet with luxury buses.
Member of Parliament Tapir Gao, also present, stressed the importance of human resource development in the sector, suggesting regular training for drivers and staff to maintain high service quality standards alongside infrastructure improvements.
