Ding Xiangqun: Breaking Barriers in China’s Regulatory Sphere
China has appointed Ding Xiangqun as the minister of the National Financial Regulatory Administration. She also assumes the role of the regulator's Communist Party committee chief. Previously, Ding was the chairperson for the People's Insurance Company (Group) of China, bringing her extensive banking and insurance experience to the role.

Ding, a veteran of the banking and insurance industry, will also serve as the chief of the regulator's Communist Party committee, a position she assumed late last month.
