The 2019 Africa CEO Forum has dedicated a session to Togo's promotion of National Development Plan (Plan National de Développement - PND), which was released by the country's President, Faure Gnassingbé in the first week of March.
The session at 2019 Africa CEO Forum was hosted by President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbé, his ministry of Finance, Sani Yana, Managing Director of MSC Togo and the Lomé Container Terminal (LCT), Gregory Krief, and Managing Director of Do Pharma SA, Frederic Dovi-Akué.
Sani Yani said that 65 percent of funds required for Togo's PND would come from the private sector. To this, Head of the International Finance Corporation for West and Central Africa, Aliou Maïga answered, "The International Finance Corporation believes in Togo's potential. We are ready to back investors that are interested in venturing in this country," as reported by Togo First.
"Today, Togo has the best strategy for universal electrification. It's a good example," Gregory Krief said while citing Lomé a logistics hub and PND's first axis.
