Spark Minda and ANSYS sets up Centre of Excellence in Pune

Auto component maker Minda Corp in association with Pennsylvania-based ANSYS has set up a Centre of Excellence at Spark Minda Group's technical facility (SMIT) in Pune for testing and simulation, the company said on Tuesday. The new centre aims at strengthening and further improving the capability of finite element analysis in emerging automotive areas, it said Spark Minda Technical Centre (SMIT) was established in January last year.

SMIT and ANSYS is set to work towards emerging automotive areas like connected mobility, pure electric and hybrid electric vehicles, and advance driver-assistance systems (ADAS) with this new Centre of Excellence (CoE), the company said. CoE will collaborate for virtual simulation in upcoming technology areas such to improve the performance and reliability, it said adding the venture will test and amplify the technical capabilities of legacy and non-legacy products of Minda Corporation..
