Soybean prices rose by Rs 3 to Rs 3,598 per quintal in futures trade Thursday after participants extended their bets, tracking positive cues from the physical market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for the most-traded delivery in August contracts rose by Rs 3, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 3,598 per quintal.

Marketmen said fresh positions created by participants following a surge in domestic as well as export demand mainly pushed up soybean prices here.
