Delhi Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam on Monday launched ‘missed call number’ service to connect people to the Delhi Other Backward Class Commission so that they can avail the benefits of various government schemes, a statement said.

The missed call number service (8447004400) was launched by the minister during a program organised by the Delhi Other Backward Class Commission, it said.

According to the statement, Hari Om Dedha, chairman, Commission for Other Backward Classes, said as per the advice of the minister, an advisory committee is being formed wherein five members from each assembly constituency of Delhi will be made members.

The Commission has already written letters to the MLAs for the nomination of these 350 members. The advisory committee members would work in their respective areas and make the public aware of the government programs for the OBC communities, it added.
