The Congress on Thursday reiterated its demand for a Supreme Court-monitored probe into the NEET exam controversy, emphasizing that public outrage will echo within Parliament. The party also urged the removal of the National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General, condemning the BJP government's 'irresponsible and insensitive' stance.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the Modi government, claiming that over the past decade, it has jeopardized the futures of millions of youths through corruption and examination rigging. 'Grace Marks were not the only issue in the NEET exam. Widespread rigging and paper leaks have compromised the future of 24 lakh students,' he asserted.

Kharge alleged the formation of an corrupt nexus between exam and coaching centers, demanding a thorough CBI investigation. He called for the harshest punishments for the perpetrators and compensation for affected students to salvage their academic year.
