DU Rejects Controversial Manusmriti Proposal for LLB Curriculum

In an interview with PTI, Singh exercised his emergency powers to scrap the proposal before it could be discussed in the Academic Council meeting on Friday, following a pre-screening.

The decision came after objections from teachers and students who criticized Manusmriti for being regressive towards women and marginalized communities.
