Panel Receives Overwhelming Feedback on Exam Reforms

The Centre's high-level exam reform panel has been inundated with over 37,000 suggestions from students, parents, and educational stakeholders. The proposals include clearer guidelines for irregularities, checks on exam centre infrastructure, and transparent score normalisation. Students have voiced concerns about far-off centres lacking infrastructure and the need for transparent normalisation methods.

Headed by former ISRO chief R Radhakrishnan, the panel was constituted to review the National Testing Agency's operations following controversies in exams like NEET and NET. The committee's recommendations are expected within two months.

Other notable members of the panel include former AIIMS Delhi director Randeep Guleria and Central University of Hyderabad Vice-Chancellor B J Rao. The panel will also examine current security protocols and make recommendations to strengthen the system.
