UPSC Takes Action Against Civil Services Candidate for Examination Fraud

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has taken decisive action against Ms. Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, a provisionally recommended candidate of the Civil Services Examination-2022, after uncovering significant irregularities. The UPSC's investigation revealed that Ms. Khedkar fraudulently exceeded the permissible number of attempts by manipulating her identity. This manipulation involved altering her name, her parents' names, her photograph/signature, email ID, mobile number, and address.

In response to these findings, the UPSC has initiated several measures. These include filing a First Information Report (FIR) with local police authorities and issuing a Show Cause Notice (SCN) to Ms. Khedkar. The SCN calls for the cancellation of her candidature for the Civil Services Examination-2022 and considers debarment from future examinations and selections in accordance with the examination rules.
