Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced on Friday that his government plans to set up an education commission to address various problems plaguing the sector.

In a meeting with educationists, Reddy emphasized the government's commitment to offering quality education, skill training, and creating employment opportunities from Anganwadis to universities. The initiatives include the recruitment of 11,000 teachers, providing school uniforms and textbooks on time, and conducting teachers' eligibility tests.

Educationists highlighted issues such as a decade-long freeze on university teaching staff recruitment, absence of vice chancellors, and lack of necessary skills and facilities in Anganwadis. In response, Reddy urged for a policy document outlining required changes for government consideration.
