Tragedy Strikes as Student Goes Missing While Escaping School Hostel

A student from a private school in the Sadar police station area went missing in a river while allegedly fleeing the school hostel. An NDRF team has been deployed to locate the student. Four other classmates searched but returned to the school when they couldn't find him.

Tragedy unfolded as a class 10 student went missing in a river while allegedly attempting to escape from a school hostel near Zumar bridge under the jurisdiction of Sadar police station. According to police officer Kuldeep Kumar, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Authorities reported that the student, part of a group of five, vanished into the flowing waters of the Zumar river. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been mobilized to aid in the search efforts for the missing student.

The remaining four students searched tirelessly for their missing friend in the dark but eventually returned to inform school authorities after their efforts proved unsuccessful, according to a school staff member.
