Himachal Pradesh to Send Students Abroad for Exposure Visits: CM Sukhu

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday revealed that the state government would send students along with teachers on international exposure visits starting next year.
During a visit to Solan, where he felicitated the meritorious students of the Government Senior Secondary School, Kothi Deora Ghatti, Sukhu said, ''In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the state government has sent 200 teachers to Singapore for an exposure visit, with plans to extend this programme to include students next year.''
The chief minister also announced various enhancements in educational and sports facilities. These include the commencement of commerce classes, the provision of sports kits for Kabaddi players, increased diet allowances for athletes, and the organization of tournaments for the under-14 age group. Additionally, he addressed infrastructure funding for educational projects and the closing of 99 primary schools with zero enrolment.
Sukhu shared a personal anecdote about his time in a government school, emphasizing the importance of quality education and the need for futuristic courses to address declining enrollment in government schools.
