The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) announced on Thursday that it has postponed the Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination, previously scheduled for August 25.
The recruitment body made the announcement through a post on X, confirming that a new date would be shared soon.
The decision comes after job-seekers in Pune protested since Tuesday night, demanding a different date due to a clash with the Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) clerical exam. They are also calling for the inclusion of 258 agricultural department posts in the exam. Despite the postponement, the candidates plan to continue their agitation until their additional demands are met.
