Andhra Pradesh to Launch Skill Census Initiative

The Andhra Pradesh government is set to conduct a skill census, starting from the Mangalagiri constituency. The survey aims to identify the skills of the state’s youth and provide them with necessary training for better employment opportunities. It will involve 675 enumerators visiting 1.6 lakh families across 100 villages.

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced plans to undertake a skill census, starting from the Mangalagiri constituency. This initiative aims to assess the skills possessed by individuals within the state.

The primary goal of the census is to identify the talent in the youth and offer them the necessary training to enhance their employment prospects.

Represented by IT Minister Nara Lokesh, the census will initially cover 100 villages, involving 675 enumerators visiting 1.6 lakh families. A technical team has been set up to assist, with a mobile app already in place and training provided for the enumerators.
