Tragic Accident: Cyclist Killed, Students Injured in Odisha

An unfortunate accident resulted in the death of a cyclist and injuries to at least 11 students who were on their way to take the Class 10 matriculation examination in Odisha's Kendrapara district. The police confirmed the incident occurred when a speeding vehicle carrying the students collided with a cyclist.
According to authorities, the collision forced the vehicle off-course, landing it in a roadside canal. The injured students, attendees of Vivekananda High School in the Baghamari area, were quickly transported to Talchua Hospital to receive medical care. Despite their ordeal, some students with minor injuries continued to take part in the exams.
This accident unfolded on the first day of the annual Class 10 matriculation examination managed by Odisha's Board of Secondary Education. As investigations continue, the local community mourns the tragic death and prays for the swift recovery of the injured students.
