The Nagpur Flying Club's newest facility at Morwa airport in Chandrapur has the potential to become a key pilot training hub for Maharashtra, according to Rajiv Pratap Rudy, chairman of the Aero Club of India. This expansion aims to ease the high traffic pressures at Nagpur airport.

Speaking at the inauguration, Rudy highlighted the importance of this development for young aspiring pilots, emphasizing that the training will include at least 200 hours of flight time with 172R planes. This initiative opens opportunities for youth in Chandrapur and neighboring regions.

Local MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar expressed pride in contributing to the establishment of the flying club, underscoring its significance in providing cost-effective pilot training, an alternative to expensive overseas programs. This center is set to enhance local pilot education and training infrastructure.
