Senior Congress leader V Narayanasamy has leveled serious allegations against the NDA government, accusing them of attempting to impose Hindi on states via the National Education Policy (NEP). Speaking at his residence on Saturday, he claimed the policy has a hidden agenda, specifically targeting non-Hindi-speaking states.
Narayanasamy emphasized that Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M K Stalin and other political figures have vehemently opposed the policy. He recalled that during his leadership in Puducherry, the Congress government had stridently opposed the NEP and rejected directives from the central government. He criticized the AINRC-BJP coalition in Puducherry, particularly Chief Minister N Rangasamy, for not resisting the policy, calling it an injustice to the Tamil language.
The Congress leader further criticized Rangasamy for not taking active measures to secure the release of 13 fishermen detained by the Sri Lankan Navy. Additionally, Narayanasamy expressed concern over rising sexual harassment cases in Puducherry, urging the local government to implement strict measures and alleging political interference in investigations.
