In a significant move, the Maharashtra government sanctioned the establishment of two new veterinary colleges in Parli and Baramati during a recent cabinet meeting. The constituencies belong to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dhananjay Munde, respectively.

These projects, with an allocation of Rs 617 crore, will see 157 acres of land designated for the colleges—75 acres in Parli and 82 in Baramati. Each institution will host 80 students.

Furthermore, 276 posts, including 96 teaching positions, have been greenlighted to support these educational hubs. This development arrives at a crucial time for Munde, offering a positive outlook amid the controversy following a recent incident in Beed district.
