The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a pivotal change in its examination schedule. The CA final examinations will now be conducted three times a year, in January, May, and September. This aligns the schedule with international best practices and offers students increased opportunities.

This decision follows last year's adjustment wherein ICAI introduced thrice-yearly examinations for the Intermediate and foundation courses. The move is set to benefit over 10 lakh students and around 4 lakh members, indicating a significant shift in the academic structure.

Furthermore, ICAI disclosed plans to hold the assessment test for the post-qualification course in Information Systems Audit thrice annually, with examinations scheduled for February, June, and October. Previously, this test was conducted twice a year.
