Enhancing Learning: Summer Remedial Classes Announced

Scheduled from May 13 to May 31, these morning sessions will focus on strengthening core concepts, covering science, mathematics, and a third subject based on students' needs.

The Directorate of Education has announced the initiation of remedial classes for students in Classes IX, X, and XII across all government schools during the upcoming summer vacation.
A recent circular from the DoE specifies that while regular school operations will be suspended from May 11 to June 30, the remedial classes are set to run from May 13 to May 31. These classes aim to enhance students' core concepts and learning outcomes.
Scheduled in the morning hours, these sessions are divided into three one-hour periods from 7.30 am to 10.30 am. In dual-shift schools, remedial classes will take place in separate wings to accommodate students. The focus will be on Science and Mathematics for Classes IX and X, with an additional subject included as needed. School uniforms are mandatory, and parental consent is required. Teachers are encouraged to provide individual attention, and library facilities will be open for student use. Guest teachers may join if regular teachers are unavailable, and district officers are tasked with daily monitoring of the program's execution.
