Avani Institute of Design in Kerala is breaking new ground with its announcement of a five-year Integrated Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) Dual Degree program, scheduled to commence in the 2025–26 academic year. This innovative course structure is designed to smoothly transition students from undergraduate to postgraduate studies without the hassle of separate admissions processes.

Responding to the increasing demand for interdisciplinary design thinking, the curriculum melds theory with practical application, nurturing critical and creative skills among students. The program covers a broad spectrum, including visual arts, liberal studies, technology, and cultural contexts, serving as a foundation for modern design practice.

Under the guidance of Tony Joseph, Chairman and Principal, the program aims to produce thought leaders in the design industry. Students can choose to specialize in Product Design or Interior Design, equipping them with expertise that meets contemporary industry standards. Notably, the program's structure saves an entire academic year compared to traditional courses, emphasizing continuity and immersion in design education.
