Tragic Loss: First-Year MBBS Student Found Dead in Hostel Room

A first-year MBBS student at a private university in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, was found dead on Saturday afternoon under tragic circumstances. The student, Gopesh Krishna, 21, was discovered hanging in his hostel room, leading police to initiate an investigation.
Officials conducted a forensic examination of the scene, seizing Krishna's mobile phone and other belongings. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. Preliminary findings suggest the possibility of suicide, although the motives behind this suspected action are still unclear.
According to Jani SHO Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, Krishna was the son of Udal Singh, an inspector with the Uttar Pradesh Police in Muzaffarnagar. Krishna had been living in the 'Dr Kotnis' hostel block's room 122 since November 20. The incident came to light when his peers, concerned after receiving no response to their knocks, alerted the hostel administration and the police.
