The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has issued a call for student union elections across all universities in India, aiming to foster new leadership from educational campuses. The organization, affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), demands these elections be held in Madhya Pradesh by 2026, despite concerns over potential campus disorder.

ABVP National General Secretary Virendra Singh Solanki stressed the importance of these elections in promoting societal benefits. "We have raised this demand before the Centre and similarly before the state government," Solanki stated during a press briefing in Indore. He urged the administration to arrange necessary measures to prevent disorderly incidents.

Solanki also highlighted the role of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in ensuring the purification of voter lists. The ABVP plans to enhance public awareness of this exercise and commemorate the composition of 'Vande Mataram' by organizing national singing events in educational institutions.
