A surprising video that recently surfaced from an anganwadi center in Katni district, Madhya Pradesh, showcases a peculiar dining arrangement. Goats were seen joining children at lunchtime, feeding from the same plates, sparking public outrage and authoritative intervention.
The unusual incident occurred at Sehra Tola of Kothi village in the Dhimarkheda tehsil. Here, the government-run pre-nursery center operates out of a private, deteriorating facility due to the absence of a proper government school. The video highlights not just the presence of goats but also the lack of supervision as no anganwadi worker or assistant was seen nearby.
Chief Executive Officer of the district panchayat, Harsimranpreet Kaur, confirmed that she was informed of the incident and promptly ordered an investigation. The Women and Child Development Department's Program Officer, Vanshree Kurveti, mentioned that show-cause notices have been served to key personnel and anticipated a report, on which further strict actions would be based.
