HP FUTURES: Pioneering Education Reform for a Sustainable Tomorrow

The HP FUTURES project, steered by Education Minister Rohit Thakur, aims to revolutionize education in Himachal Pradesh. Aligned with national policies, the project focuses on competency-based learning, value education through sports, and greening education, promoting sustainability and quality in the education system.

The second steering committee meeting on the HP FUTURES project was conducted, led by Education Minister Rohit Thakur, to assess and deliberate on the project's progress and future roadmap.

The project, designed to revamp Himachal Pradesh's education system, focuses on core areas such as competency-based education, value education through sports, and environmental awareness.

This initiative, inaugurated in 2025 with UNESCO's collaboration, adheres to the National Education Policy 2020 and aims to fortify educational quality, fostering critical thinking, sustainability, and inclusion among students across the state.
