The 15th edition of SBI Life Spell Bee, one of India's premier spelling competitions, reached a thrilling climax with 11-year-old Avik Agrawal from Bombay Scottish School, Powai, emerging as the champion. Hosted by Mandira Bedi, this event gathered over 1.25 lakh participants from 300 schools across the nation.
The competition was intense, with young spellers demonstrating remarkable language skills. Avik Agrawal secured the top position, while Kushagra Pandey and Jasmine Jonwal were named as the first and second runners-up, respectively. The Grand Finale aired nationally, showcasing the young talent on major platforms like Jiostar, Nickelodeon, and Sonic.
The theme 'Bee Spellionaire' underscored the event's focus on empowering young learners through language. Mr. Ravindra Sharma of SBI Life emphasized the role of such platforms in fostering intellectual growth among youth, supporting not just academic learning but overall personal development. Avik's journey in the competition won him a cash prize and a trip to Disneyland, inspiring future leaders.
