Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has unveiled an ambitious plan to boost education accessibility across the state. Under the Saat Nischay-3 program, degree colleges will be established in every block to ensure that students, particularly girls, have convenient access to higher education.
Currently, 213 out of 534 blocks lack degree colleges, which Kumar aims to address by opening new institutions in these blocks as a priority. These colleges are expected to begin classes by July, following the directives issued to state officials.
Furthermore, Kumar revealed plans to upgrade 55 prestigious educational institutions into 'centres of excellence.' This initiative, crafted after consulting with experienced educators and students, seeks to deliver employment-oriented education and restore the esteemed legacy of these institutions.
