In a commitment to elevate educational standards, Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik (Retd) underscored the importance of transparency and merit in admissions while meeting with the Arunachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (APPEIRC) on Thursday.
At the Lok Bhavan meeting, Parnaik emphasized the critical need for rigorous monitoring of examinations and adherence to University Grants Commission guidelines to uphold academic credibility. He insisted that the commission should ensure the infrastructure norms of private institutions are met, warning that those repeatedly failing to meet standards might face shutdowns.
The governor, after discussions with APPEIRC chairman Tsering Naksang, expressed a commitment to addressing obstacles noted by the commission. He highlighted that decisive oversight is key to fostering competitiveness in education, promising engagements with relevant authorities for resolving pending issues.
