In a bid to transform societal perceptions towards vocational careers, Arunachal Pradesh's Skill Development Minister, Nyato Dukam, underscored the critical role of skills in today's job market. Addressing attendees at an awareness workshop in Itanagar, Dukam highlighted the indispensability of skills for employability, even when reservation provisions are in place.
The workshop, organized under the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, focused on encouraging youth to aspire beyond traditional roles and positions them as potential job creators. Dukam praised the efforts of both Central and state governments in launching various programs aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, skill enhancement, and self-reliance among the youth.
The session covered initiatives like the Chief Minister's Soft Loan Scheme and the Foreign Language Training Programme, which provide unique opportunities for young individuals to enhance their skills, secure financial aid, and explore careers overseas in industries like healthcare and hospitality.
