On Sunday, around 1.4 lakh students appeared for the NEET 2026 exam in Tamil Nadu across 31 centers, finding the paper easier than last year's.
The National Testing Agency organized the exam, which saw 22.80 lakh registrations nationwide, and took measures like CCTV surveillance and power backup for seamless execution.
Despite the summer heat, the NTA ensured candidate comfort with water and medical support, while maintaining strict exam protocols. No malpractices were reported, particularly in Chennai. Results are expected in June 2026.
