An agreement has been reached between the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and the Andhra Pradesh government to prolong the Ragi Java nutrition programme, benefiting government school children in the state until 2029. The formal exchange took place in Vijayawada, marked by the presence of IT Minister Nara Lokesh and RJ Rathnakar of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust.
This initiative, aligned with the thoughtful teachings of Sathya Sai Baba, has impacted the well-being of over 30 lakh students in nearly 44,000 schools all over Andhra Pradesh for the past three years. The programme, which offers a nutritious drink daily through the provision of ragi flour and jaggery, stands as a testament to the commitment to student welfare.
Ragi, a nutrient-rich millet, combined with jaggery delivers a potent health drink that fuels students' learning and growth. Observations reveal enhanced vitality and attentiveness among children, contributing to a supportive environment for education. Continuing until 2029, the programme promises to sustain its contribution to child nutrition and overall educational outcomes.
