Transforming Higher Education: Inauguration of Futuristic Academic Block at Chanakya University
Chanakya University in Bengaluru has inaugurated the Sudha & Kris Gopalakrishnan Academic Block, designed for future-ready teaching and research. The facility was launched by India’s Education Minister and aims to support the National Education Policy 2020 with a focus on innovation and competency-based learning.
Chanakya University in Bengaluru has unveiled its latest educational facility, the Sudha & Kris Gopalakrishnan Academic Block, in a ceremony officiated by India’s Education Minister, Sri Dharmendra Pradhan. This new block, located near Kempegowda International Airport, highlights the University's commitment to pioneering education and research.
The academic block, sprawling over 3,40,000 sq. ft, is meticulously designed to foster an environment conducive to learning, with over 70 classrooms, seminar halls, laboratories, and a 300-seat auditorium honoring Dr. K. Kasturirangan. The facility is set to accommodate more than 3,600 students.
Speaking at the event, Sri Pradhan emphasized the importance of transitioning from a degree-focused model to one that prioritizes competency, research, and innovation, as outlined in India's National Education Policy 2020. Other dignitaries reiterated that Chanakya University is set to birth future leaders and innovators, aligning with the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047.
