In light of the sweltering heatwave conditions, Nanded district officials in Maharashtra have imposed restrictions on private coaching institutes, preventing them from conducting physical classes from noon to 4 p.m., officials reported.

Nanded, part of the Marathwada region, has experienced soaring temperatures in recent days. To prioritize student health and minimize heat exposure risks, District Collector Rahul Kardile issued an order on Wednesday, instructing coaching centers to shift classes to cooler morning and evening times or transition to online formats.

The directive also emphasizes the importance of staying informed through weather updates from the Meteorological Department and adhering to safety protocols, such as providing drinking water, shaded areas, and promoting health awareness among students. Non-compliance with the order will result in stern consequences for institutions.
