Cancellation Shock: NEET 2026 Exam Called Off Amid Controversy

The cancellation of the NEET (UG) 2026 exam has sparked intense criticism from the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The scrutiny comes after the National Testing Agency decided to nullify the exam conducted on May 3 over allegations of irregularities.

The National Testing Agency announced that it would reconduct the exams on new dates to be determined, citing transparency and the preservation of trust in the examination system as its main concerns. Concurrently, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been tasked with investigating the allegations related to the exam's administration.

In a post on social media platform X, criticism was levied against the current government, labeling the cancellation as a significant indicator of governmental failures. The Congress claimed that the incident has laid bare the administration's inability to conduct examinations safely and fairly, putting the future of countless aspirants at stake.
