On Monday, chaos erupted at an SSC-GD constable examination center in Purvameer, Maharajpur, due to severe overcrowding. Nearly twice the allowed number of candidates were allotted seats, forcing authorities to cancel both shifts of the exam.

The center at Shrimati Ramkali Iqbal Bahadur, designed for 399 candidates per shift, mistakenly issued admit cards to 819 candidates. This oversight led to a massive crowd and substantial confusion as more examinees arrived than the premises could accommodate.

Authorities, in coordination with the police, managed to maintain peace despite candidates' anger and attempts to block a national highway. Officials stated that rumors of violence were false and promised to communicate new exam dates via email and the official website.
