The CUET-UG 2026, a critical entrance exam for undergraduate admissions, encountered delays at certain centers across India on Saturday due to technical difficulties. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the issue was resolved promptly, and compensatory time has been allotted for affected candidates to ensure fairness.
Technical service provider TCS identified the glitch which led to a delay in the commencement of exams. Consequently, the afternoon session was rescheduled, with entry starting at 2:30 pm and the exam kicking off at 4:00 pm, one hour later than originally planned. The morning session went ahead as scheduled with routine protocols.
In response to the inconvenience, the NTA has offered a helpline and email support for any assistance required by students and parents. Initially enacted in 2022, the CUET-UG aims for a unified assessment standard across various universities, in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
